St. Joseph County, Michigan Sheriff Mark Lillywhite is in the Kalamazoo County Jail after being arrested early Sunday on misdemeanor charges from a traffic crash. Lillywhite is expected to be charged in court. He was elected sheriff in 2020 and has been with the department for the past 25 years. Lillywhite was previously the St. Joseph County Undersheriff from 2009 until 2020. Details about his arrest have not been released.
