The city of St. Joseph has updated how residents can apply for permission to park on the street overnight and apply for a free carbon monoxide detector. It’s now possible to apply to the St. Joseph Department of Public Safety for either online, rather than having to call. The new Overnight Streetside Parking Request allows residents who need to park a vehicle on the street overnight to submit their information via the city’s website. The permission can be used by residents who have overnight guests or are having construction work done for up to seven nights. The Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors Request can also be made via the website.
