The Pizza Hut project in St. Joseph Township is being postponed for the time being.

Michigan Pizza Hut’s Chad White tells us due to the company already heading one project in Berrien Springs, the St. Joseph project will be pushed back.

“Just because of the weather and it getting later in the year, we decided we wanted to make sure everything went properly. So we’re going to start that one in the spring.”

The restaurant in St. Joseph Township is projected to be 1,400 square feet, with the elimination of the dining area and will be drive-thru and carryout only.

Meanwhile, White tells us contractors have already started on the Pizza Hut restaurant in Berrien Springs. Just like the proposed St. Joseph location, the Berrien Springs restaurant will be drive-thru and delivery only but in a much smaller space.

“Berrien Springs got started a few weeks ago, and hopefully they’ll be open by January.”

White noted that both restaurant locations were due for a refresh, and he wants to put money back into the community.
