Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel closed out the run up to Christmas this week by telling people what they can do if they’ve fallen victim to scammers. All December, Nessel presented “20 Days of Scams” in the form of YouTube videos in which she told consumers how to stay safe this time of year. For her final message, she talked about the AG’s consumer protection team.
“You can file a complaint online, by fax, or U.S Mail,” Nessel said. “To learn more about our consumer complaint process, make your connection to consumer protection at Michigan.gov/AGComplaints.”
Nessel said by providing as much relevant information as possible, you can help ensure that the AG’s team has the ability to thoroughly investigate a report and take the appropriate action to protect other residents from falling victim to the same scheme.
